Amy Cheng is currently the Head of HR for Microsoft Taiwan. Her core responsibility is to lead the people agenda to support the digital transformation at Microsoft Taiwan. It includes but not limited to Leadership Effectiveness, Talent Development and Organizational Effectiveness. Amy has been with Microsoft since 2013 working with various sales marketing business units in GCR area. In 2018, she won Microsoft Global Center of Excellence (CoE) Platinum Award as one of the three HR winners globally.
Amy received her MBA from Krannert School of Management in Purdue University. Upon graduation, she worked as a HR generalist at General Cable in the United States. She then changed her career focus to a more talent acquisition and next generation leadership program manager role with Sanyo Electric Company at its headquarter office in Osaka, Japan. Following Sanyo, Amy boosted her international career in IT industry from Google to Cisco and now with Microsoft, from US to Beijing to Taiwan. With these leading IT companies, Amy has gained solid experience as well as demonstrated her strong leadership in Staffing, L&D, Sales Readiness and HRBP roles.
It is the 3rd year since Amy moved to Taiwan. She enjoys the nature of this beautiful Island and appreciates the people she meets here.
Dr. André Vermeulen is a part time lecturer at the University of Pretoria and a member of the Neuroscience Research Group. His function is to translate neuroscience into practical solutions that helps companies drive business results. André is also the founding member and CEO of Neuro-Link, a boutique consultancy utilizing applied neuroscience to move performance forward, develop talent, reduce risk for human error and maintain wellness. He has developed and patented various neuroscience assessments and learning solutions that are used by thousands of adults, and children in education, business and sports across the globe. As an international keynote speaker, Dr. Vermeulen has contributed on numerous prestigious platforms like TEDx Johannesburg and ATD ICE since 2000. He is a regular guest on many radio and television talk shows around the globe and hosts his own television program called “Mind Matters”.

Bai-Chuan Yang, served as Chief Ethics Officer Adjunct Chief Human Resources Officer of Sinyi Realty Group from 2014 till now. He is also an associate professor of Business Administration Department at Fu-Jen Catholic University. He received his PhD degree from management college of Fu-Jen and MBA degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI). During his academic service, he also provided consulting service for many consulting firms for over 20 years. His previous specialties were on the privatization of state own company, especially on the transformation of organization and human resource restructure. The current interests are focus on promoting business ethic centric corporate culture and integration of learning and doing in a digital context.
Professor of Vocational Education and Workforce Development (VEWD) · Director of Career Development Center, Seoul National University
Chan Lee, PhD, is a professor of vocational education and workforce development (VEWD) and a director of the career development center at Seoul National University (SNU) in Korea. Prior to his time at SNU, Lee worked in the United States at LG Electronics as an HRD team leader. He holds a doctoral and a master’s degree in HRD from the Ohio State University.
Lee has been a constant participant of ASTD and ATD International Conference & Exposition for the past 14 consecutive years as a speaker and a lecturer as well as a member of the ASTD International Conference & Exposition Program Advisory Committee (PAC) in 2010 and 2011. He was the chairman of the ATD Korea Summit and was an invited speaker for the ATD 2011 Singapore, 2014 Taiwan, and 2015 Japan conferences. He contributed to Implementing On-the-Job Learning, part of the ASTD in Action series, and Destination Facilitation from ATD Press.

Sung Kyung Cho is the chief executive officer of JUVIS Group. Since its establishment in 2002, JUVIS Group has shown a remarkable growth within the diet consulting business in Korea, which has 29 branches across the country. Recently, Kyung Cho won the Grand Award for Excellence in Sustainable Management in the labor-management cooperation category from the South Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor. Her entrepreneurial efforts have been awarded with diverse prizes including the 2010 Korea Lifestyle Awards for female entrepreneur of the year.

Mr. Chia-Shen Chen has a long-term history in assisting to review government projects for supporting the development of SMEs, including using and developing ICT in SMEs, entrepreneurship training programs, annual strategic planning for the Ministry of SMEs and the Ministry of Industry. In addition, he have also been invited to assist in the evaluation of SMEs and state-owned enterprise transformation assistance systems.
He have continued to carry out high-level management development programs for global enterprises for a long time including, HP, PHILIPS, TAISAL, ELECTROLUX, COCA COLA, Acer, China Airlines, CPC, and National Institute for Governor Development. And have also conducted Business Diagnosis, Organizational Transformation and Development for many private enterprises and served as a strategic consultant at ICMCI, Chinese Productivity Center (CPC), Asia Productivity Organization (APO), the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China, Personnel Administration of Execution Yuan and other counties and city governments.
In recent years, he has actively participated in the regional plan of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) to share his business management knowledge and experience in the past 20 years, as well as the development of the Knowledge Management Training Manual of the APO in 2010-2012, national professional speaker, the APO strategic planning expert, any many more.

David Tessmann-Keys, a registered psychologist, graduated from Griffith University with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science focusing on applied psychology. With an extensive background in organization development consulting and operational leadership, he has delivered keynotes in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States on a broad range of talent management topics and on the issue of leadership in the global context.
David’s specific areas of capability include the design and execution of business-centric talent management strategies across a broad range of industries (such as fast-moving consumer goods, energy, transport, finance and insurance, government, and high-tech industries), inclusive of the development of enterprise-wide capability frameworks, selection, leadership and workforce development, performance management, executive team effectiveness, and succession management strategies for all levels. He also provides individual coaching to executives around the world.
Before joining DDI, David built an eclectic professional background covering organizational consulting within the private, government, and nonprofit sectors and a clinical psychological practice within the correctional and psychiatric arenas. Derek Wu is the global head of human resources for Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group. He is responsible for leading the overall human resources strategies in support of global business strategies, corporate culture, organization, and people development.

Padilla Crisol is a senior business leader with an outstanding track record spanning more than 20 years at SAP, where he’s held various senior management roles in sales, consulting, software development, finance, and business operations. During his tenure, he’s led management teams and driven aggressive growth targets and regional expansion to transform teams and build new business ecosystems. Throughout his SAP career, Padilla Crisol gained valuable experience leading multinational teams across Asia Pacific and Japan, Europe and the Middle East, and the Americas. Gertrude I Hewapathirana
Associate Professor of Management, Gulf University for Science and Technology
Dr. Gertrude I Hewapathirana is an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait. She received her Ph.D., MA and MSc. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis/St Paul where she was a Hubert Humphrey International Fellow. She also earned her MBA and BA Economics and postgraduate studies in economics and urban development in Sri Lanka. She served as a Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor for Suffolk University, San Diego State University and University of Minnesota, USA. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a managing director and an executive director in corporate sector in Sri Lanka.
She published a book, several book chapters, peer reviewed research in top tier journals and presented over three dozen of her research in international conferences. Her research interests include international business, e-leadership and, global human resource development/management, organizational behavior, corporate social responsibility and faculty training. Dr. Hewapathirana was a trainer. She experimented different entrepreneurship development models and implemented them to train small, medium and large size business organizations in Sri Lanka. Before becoming an entrepreneur in InsurTech, James was the Chairman & CEO of TransGlobe Life Insurance Company (formerly AEGON Taiwan). In two decades, he built TransGlobe from scratch into a top 7 life insurance company in Taiwan with more than 3 million customers, 5 thousand agents/employees, and USD 30 billion in total assets.
James received his master’s degrees in statistics from the University of Michigan and in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). In recent years, he obtained the FinTech Certificate (2016) and the Artificial Intelligence Certificate (2018) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
As a veteran in the insurance industry and an expert in InsurTech, he is appointed as a Senior Executive Advisor to the FinTech Research Center of National Cheng-Chi University. A graduate of American University, Josh has been awarded the Mile High Energy Award by Visit Denver, and an honorary Doctorate of Foodservice by the North American Food Equipment Manufacturers Association for his contributions to the industry. He finished serving his second term on the Executive Board of the Colorado Workforce Development Council, where he chaired the State Education and Training Steering Committee. Pant has strong multinational professional experience in retail, private, and credit card banking business fields. Tsuen-Chiuan Tsai (Charity)

Dr TC Tsai is a Pediatrician and a faculty at the Kaohsiung Medical University (Taiwan) who had served as Dean for Academic Affair. Dr. Tsai is a graduate of China Medical University (MD), and completed residencies in the Department of Pediatrics at the Mackay Memorial Hospital. She then obtained her PhD in medical education at University of Calgary in Canada. When returning Taiwan, she was involved in the establishment of two new medical schools in Taiwan, Mackay Medical College and I-Shou Medical University School of Medicine.
Dr. Tsai’s professional interests are the medical simulation, ethics education and measurement and assessment in medical education. She also devoted herself in developing the technology-enhanced education. In 2013, Dr. Tsai established the Taiwan Society for Simulation in Healthcare (TSSH), and served as the Chairperson of the TSSH Board 2013-2016. She is also a Co-founder of the Landseed Asia Meducation Company that integrated the medical profession with the digital technology in order to promote healthcare quality and safety safety. Dr. Tsai’s professional activities include serving as a committee member and a surveyor of TMAC (the Taiwan Medical Accreditation Council) and the JCT Accreditation for teaching hospital.
